I have been honored to work with Julie in many capacities and I can only give her my highest recommendation both professionally and personally. Julie's interactive and engaging teaching method and her deep knowledge of nutrition and parenting tools has created a deep shift in the way I view, respond and encourage children in feeding. Julie's work needs to be spread far and wide!
Julie’s counsel is always comforting and grounded in what I tell her I believe is best for our family. She listens carefully to my questions and the stories I tell her about what’s happening with my daughter at the dinner table and in between meals, then helps me to reframe my thinking around what is “right” and what I “should” do toward what is good for our family and what I might do. Julie has inspired me to try new foods as a family, to serve food in a way that empowers my daughter’s choices, and to talk about food in a way that is different from how I grew up. I am always a little unsure of myself in my new role as mother but am grateful to Julie for reflecting back to me what she hears me share and providing a new perspective and guidance that help me make decisions that are right for us.
Personally, I need constant reminding of good parenting techniques and ideas of how to strengthen my relationship with my children. This was a great refresher course with a few golden nuggets I'd never thought of before.
No judgement involved when talking to Julie. She is easy going, friendly and makes sure she understands your individual situation and family. Loved her style and personality. I think Mom is the most important letters she has after her name. Just gentle spirited and easy to talk with.
Every interaction with Julie leads to a new awareness in how we can see and love our children more deeply. Fortunately, it is often accompanied by a practical way of engaging with our children that aligns with our personal values. I am a better parent because she has been part of our lives.
